Technical information about this website’s accessibility

Darlington Borough Council is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

This website is compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard.

Non accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

Non compliance with the accessibility regulations

The Google ReCAPTCHA error box doesn't have an accessible label

The ReCAPTCHA error message on the blog pages has a textbox that doesn't have a readable label. This doesn't conform to WCAG 2.1: Success Criterion 4.1.2: Name, Role, Value. This is a Google supplied plugin so we are unable to fix this ourselves.

Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations

Google maps showing the location of the museum. We offer a text alternative listing our address and transport options to the museum on the 'How to Find Us and Contact Us' page.

How we tested this website

This website is tested every 10 days. The tests are carried out by the Darlington Borough Council web team using Siteimprove’s accessibility reports.  Tests are scheduled automatically and are monitored by the web team.
